I visited this restaurant with my friends. I was surprised. Food was really tasty and portion was big. Prices reasonable, bill for 1 person about £11-12. Later in the evening restaurant was full and a queue was waiting outside. Stuff was friendly and helpful. So far the best Chinese restaurant in London.
No frills restauarant, but serving really good food. Place is always busy and turnaround if quick, don't be offended if they give you the bill after clearing up the tables.
Tried the sweet and sour pork, it was so crispy and full of flavour. Prices are higher than expected but probably because they're based in the city. I would recommend this restaurant for groups as there are a lot of dishes on the menu and would be good to share
The MOP website says they're open Sundays. I arrived Sunday to find the restaurant closed!
Only the menu posted in the window says they are closed Sundays. Though I remember I've been there on a Sunday in the past.
Could MOP update their hours online so people don't waste trips and time to the restaurant?
Food is very good, try the mapo tofu. Fried Rabbit was too bony. Service is good when they’re not busy, but slows down due to sheer volume of customers during peak times
If you love Sichuan Chinese food, this is your place. You’ll probably have to queue to get in, but they move along very quickly. Of course that means they try to flip the tables quickly and might push you to order while still queuing, which is a bit annoying.
